Wedding Wheels, 2013 Debut

Welcome to Wedding Wheels, one of my very favorite Koru Wedding Style series.  It's pretty simple: I love weddings & I love cars & I adore seeing the cool & unusual modes of transportation Brides & Grooms choose on their wedding day.  Vintage cars, bicycles for two, rustic rowboats, decorated golf carts, etc.  Just about every month, I bring you my very favorite Wedding Wheels finds.  Today, I collected a fun little sampling of  Wedding Wheels for the 2013 debut- enjoy!

A classic Mercedes for a classic couple:

Those that bike together, stay together:

I'm a big fan of vintage taxis for Manhattan weddings but this pedicab getaway is pretty darn fun:

Just the two of you in the middle of a lake on your wedding day- so romantic!

A vintage blue & white moped for the happy couple- SWOON!!!

Isn't it fun how creative couples get with their wedding getaways?!  I hope you enjoyed the first 2013 edition of Wedding Wheels!

{Elegant Seaside Wedding} Jen & Paul

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Brought to us by A Magic Moment, today's Real Wedding is a true gem.  With a Jimmy Choo Bride & a Converse Groom getting married by the seaside in Palm Coast, Florida, the result is a beautiful wedding with an effortless elegance.  Let's take a peek at the beauty:

When Hurricane Sandy bypassed Florida, Jen & Paul sighed with great relief & tied the knot on October 27, 2012 at the stunning Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida.  The elegant Bride wore sparkly Jimmy Choo heels & the casual Groom wore grey Converse high tops & the two combined their styles with a simply beautiful wedding.  The Bride walked down a grassy aisle lined with white rose petals & flickering white candles housed in large silver lanterns.  They said "I Do!" by towering palm trees.  Afterwards, the newlyweds frolicked on the picturesque resort grounds, including the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean.  The celebration of their marriage continued in a tented reception with dramatic lighting & tables decorated with white hydrangea centerpieces, painted wooden table numbers & rustic burlap runners.  Nature capped off the wedding with an amazing sunset!

My Favorite Moment:  I can't resist the sweet kiss on the golf cart!

My Favorite Detail:  It's probably pretty obvious: I adore the Bride's shoes AND the Groom's shoes!

Congratulations, Jen & Paul!

{Fur Babies + Weddings} In Memory of Gucci

On January 15, my husband & I mark two events, each very, very different.  This year on January 15, we happily celebrated our second wedding anniversary (yay!) & we quietly remembered our sweet, precious Gucci who we put to sleep three years ago after a long, happy life (sniff, sniff).  We considered not getting married on January 15 because it was the day our hearts broke & we lost Gucci but, in the end, life goes on.  But my buddy is still missed & forever loved!

Today, I've gathered a few of my favorite images of fur babies in weddings & I dedicate this pet post to my Gucci.

The pretty flower pup & handsome ring pup make quite the dapper duo:

The adorable flower pup perfectly coordinates with the sunny yellow bridal party:

An autumn backyard wedding clearly calls for some participation from the Bride & Groom's pups:

I can't decide what I like best: the pups' frilly tutus or their big smiles!

Hey, not everyone is thrilled with wearing a tutu:

So, SO cute- a little fur adds charm to any wedding!

For you, Gucci.  You added so much love & laughter & antics & memories to my life.

{Sneak Peek} Jen & Paul

Happy Friday!  I am pretty, pretty excited for this weekend because we are celebrating Christmas.  Yes, Christmas!  We don't get to see my Dad's family during the busy Christmas season so we pick a later date to gather & celebrate.  Sometimes it's been as late as summer before our schedules coordinate so we're pretty proud to at least be in the appropriate season this year.  Before I sign off to wrap one last Christmas gift, I wanted to leave you with a sneak peek of next Wedding Wednesday's delight:

When you combine a Jimmy Choo Bride with a Converse Groom, you can imagine it's going to be fantastic wedding.  Be sure to tune in next Wedding Wednesday to enjoy this beautiful wedding!

Happy Weekend!
